After looking high and low for an easy way to create templates for Drupal I found Artisteer. It is great. Right out of the box I was making elaborate templates with this simple tool in thirty minutes. You can spend 10 minutes just looking at the pre-made configurations, a different look at each click of a link.

This isn't going to be an Artisteer Tutorial so I am not going to get into how to use the application. I will tell you that it doesn't take long to get accustomed to the user interface. At first I was stuck in a box making the same types of page layouts. However given a little adjusting with width and height of headers and sheets you find quickly that you can make any website layout that you can dream.

This software is also used to make Joomla templates, Blogger tempaltes, and Wordpress templates to name a few. There are additional formats also available with a very hand format of exporting HTML. This allows you to create a quick preview for clients.

You are allowed to also sell the templates per the license. There are two versions of the applications. Artisteer Home & Acedemic and Artisteer Standard (~50$ and ~130$). You can easily justify the cost of this application by creating one website with this tool over creating the template by hand. All required files are automatically created.

Deploying your template is as easy as uploading and extracting a zip file. I can create a theme and have it live in a website in under 5 minutes. For real! There is no competition for this Drupal Template creator, Wordpress Template creator, Joomla Template creator, I think you get my drift.

As a bonus you can download a trial to see how easy it is to use. (Templates from the trial will have a watermark but you will be able to see for yourself how easy it is to use).
